Last year at this time I had fifteen dead mice accounted for over the course of a couple of months. Tonight a thorough cleaning of my furnace room has increased that number by one. I'm telling myself this guy was just leftover from last year and not a new interloper.
Is that possible? Wouldn't he have deteriorated more since then? Please tell me it's possible he could be from the olden days. Oh god, please tell me it's possible.

I would assume, yes, he would've at least begun the dust-to-dust process by now. Better flag whoever needs to be flagged.
Bigger news: Welcome back! Although I miss Anthony Bourdain. I know he misses you.
Welcome back, Deb! I missed you and I'm positive a lot of other people did, too.
Sorry to hear you found a mouse. Looks like you took care of it and hopefully that's the last of them critters. If not, maybe you should give the humane trap another try ;)
Hey Deb - Glad you're back. Pretty sure your dead mouse is dead enough to take on car ride.
Deb---Two things. 1) Welcome back--you were thouroughly missed and 2) Mice--we have them now too....I need your tricks! Darn little things! Steve got one last night and fun ensued....gotta love it.
Sorry to be excited that you have mice, but at least I don't feel so alone now! Sometimes the mice make me feel dirty. Good thing you have Steve, and not Hakeem!
I keep thinking of the story 'Twas the Night before Christmas....'
I feel kinda bad that I want to get rid of them so badly.
Steve isn't that much help at all...He does enjoy staring at various places in the basement though! I guess we know where to put the traps....fa la la la la....
